View Full Version : Software for tracking revenue from prints?

Not sure if this is the proper forum for this question, but it's the closest I could find:

A colleague and I are considering offering prints for sale via a heavily customized SmugMug site. We've investigated other options, and Sm seems the best site for this purpose, by far.

Here's my question: We would like to be able to track whose images sold, and for what profit margin, so that we can keep the books straight. Is there software set up for this purpose? I am sure we could get the job done in good old Excel, but there are likely to be some intricacies in the process. I know there's QuickBooks, but that might be overkill.

BTW, I'm a Mac-only guy, and so Windows solutions won't work.

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm afraid, the only tool I know is SmugSales and its for Windows. It's listed here (http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Hacks+and+Apps).

Sebastian,

Thanks for this link! The app looks great. I'm sorry it's Windows only.

There MUST be something similar for the Mac world--or maybe just an Excel template that someone smarter than I am with Excel has created to track sales by different photographers?

Thanks again - Charles
