moving from aperture to lightroom

I need to move about 10,000 images from Aperture to Lightroom 2. (This is for a friend.)

Are there any specific steps I should take in Aperture before I tell Lightroom to import these images?

It is likely worth reading four or five of the articles in this Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=moving+from+aperture+to+lightroom&aq=1&oq=moving+from+aperture+to+) about moving your images from Aperture to Lightroom. It sounds like if you do it right, you can preserve all metadata, but you can't preserve your Aperture adjustments to the images unless you render them all to TIFF or JPEG from Aperture before importing into Lightroom.
