When they show up, it's usually dark and rainy. Had to shoot ISO 1600... :cry

They look pretty good for that ISO. I had a difficult time gettinng their heads in focus as well. They are so tiny and move so quickly, you wind up focusing on the body, and the head is not quite tack sharp.

Yup, what makes 'em so tasty makes 'em hard to photograph. :lol3

Tough, too, to get things sharp when using 1/50 shutter at 300mm. :dunno

To go along with Ric's idea, mashed potatoes, too, please! :food

Ric, that's a wonderful capture of a very handsome fellow! :barb

I'll admit, though, that he would look even better plucked, stuffed and baked... :deal

I still can't get over these big flocks of turkeys. This would be great to see in person.

Yeah, they are pretty fun to watch. Too bad they are so quick to vacate the premises when people come around. :cry

Here's a shot from earlier this year:

I like turkeys. If Ben Franklin wanted them as the national bird they can't be all bad. Their plumage can be quite striking. Nice images.
