I don't know what happened to my categories on my homepage. All of my galleries are showing and I want them in categories (eg. sports/summertime/parties etc.) How do I fix this.

Right at the top of your galleries on the homepage is a control that lets you display galleries or categories. You need to flip that setting. See http://www.smugmug.com/help/arrange-albums for details and screenshots.
