finches dont stand still very long for me. Today was a very windy day....
however - it is the best house finch i ever caught

While I got your attention, any idea what type of sparrow this is? there are many types...I assume it is a sparrow....

Nice shot.
I know I've been having an impossible time capturing a yellow tailed finch in the wild. Speedy, twitchy little buggers.

Nice ones Troy. :thumb Sparrow identification is tricky, lots of very similar colors with subtle differences. I'd guess it's a common song sparrow? :dunno

The best match I can find is a Chipping Sparrow. Both shots are nice.
