Photos uploaded in a batch are being shown in reverse order to that in which they were uploaded. This was also a problem with an earlier Smugmug version.

Did you check your autosort settings in customize gallery. That will control the sort order. You can set it for upload order or reverse upload order or several other things.

Are you using the simple uploader? I think it uploads bottom up. Right click the
window and change to details then click to reverse the order.

Al, we need a link to the gallery you're talking about.
Did you try to set the gallery to 'autosort by date uploaded'? That should automatically re-arrange the photos into the order in which we have received them from the uploader. Make sure that the sort order is set to ascending, too.

SebastianThe order that the pics are displayed are the reverse order that I put them in the queue. This wasn't the case before the upgrade.

* I have not changed any order settings.
* The log file is not working, so I can't look at how and when the files were received by Smugmug.

One of the reasons that I like using "Old faithful" as an uploader was that the files upload and display in the order that I set them to upload. With the bulk uploaders I've tried, I was never sure of the order in which files finished uploading.

Here's a small gallery (http://bigal-sa.smugmug.com/gallery/6435146_4fjup#407716217_zo9JJ) in which the order is not important, but I uploaded them in the order of the scan number, and they are in reverse order. It's irritating in my recipes (http://bigal-sa.smugmug.com/Food) to have to reorder the picture positions. As a case in point, I uploaded two further pics to this gallery (http://bigal-sa.smugmug.com/gallery/6326882_doJbX), and the order of those pics were reversed. If it was set to reverse order, the whole gallery should have been reversed.

I also had a problem uploading last night, I was uploading 150 photos and I let it upload overnight only to wakeup this morning and find that only 4 uploaded and that some message if I remember right was on my computer saying "proxy server not found"

Just in the last week I've had uploading order problems as well. I upload from Lightroom 1.4 using Jeffrey Friedl's upload plugin. The order comes up for instance 3,4,5,8,7,6. From there it might jump to 15,16,17,10,9, etc.

It seems to coincide with the changes of the menu arrangements made recently on Smugmug. :dunno

I agree - something once again is messed up-i drag ONE image into the simple uploader and
it used to be that the one pic i dragged in first was the first showing..
NOW, it's all kaka, backwards, and it was FINE last week....
and i , in all this time, NEVER had to mess with autosort
