Yes, I know what you say about us poor Dutch. :D Well, this ride is
free anyway. I went for a drive tonight. All pictures 828 real color mode 64
ISO, full manual.
Here is a view on Alkmaar, my home town. The tower is called De
Waag, which you should pronounce with the hard Dutch g. It's were the cheese market for tourist is every Friday in season.

I went out of town and found this tulip field. Probably a test and devellop field. I never saw so many different tulips on one small field.
http://adrian.smugmug.com/photos/21473606-L.jpg
Next one is maybe not a great picture but nice enough to show that not all our dikes are huge. We need them though as you can see.
http://adrian.smugmug.com/photos/21473306-L.jpg
I guess we have in and around Alkmaar over 20 windmills. These three are the ones they will drag you to if you come as a tourist and take a tour. During day time and in season it's crowded here. But now it was my special VIP time. Nobody there but me and some sheeps.

AJIt's even bigger then what shows on the picture. It was Saterday night so nobody there to ask, but I'm curious myself about purpose and what they do with them. As a young lad I've been working in summertime in tulips. Pretty interesting work.
Here is another tulip shot. These flowers have been cut of in the meantime. It's a tof life to grow a big bulb. :rofl
Thanks for taking the time to make such a nice comment!

Wow ........... gosh I've only ever seen tulips like you just posted in photos only, they must grow them here in Australia somewhere, to get the bulbs, cause you see heaps of bulbs for sale here.
I love your Windmills Adrian, they are so Dutch :rofl so to speak :D
I've only ever been to Holland once.....hmmmmm that was about 25 years ago gawwwwwwd am I that old :huh :dunno can't be :lol4 :nod
Only reason I don't plant them is it's way too windy where I live, enough to move the furniture out on the deck even.
Thank you for sharing your beloved country with us Adrian, beautifully done :D Skippy (Australia)

Thanks.
I'm in the middle of reorg so come back in a few weeks and there will be a lot more pics.
Not yet on the purchase area. I need to get a little more organized. I'll hopefully have my domain registered along with a new logo and business cards soon. I have one pottery place willing to hang my work and I'm working on a few other businesses. I'm reading and researching a lot on how to make some money at this. I'll give it 5 years and see where I'm at then.
I also want to have links showing work and how it looks framed.

They will grow and when there is too much wind you give them shelter. Don't be surprised when the bulbs come from Holland. You know we always wanna sell :rofl

Very nice Rob, do you know which town this is? Thanks for your nice words!
The town is called Delft, located in the Netherlands painted by artist Jan Van Vermeer in 1659. The painting was done using the camera obscura, a device made to assist painter with a optical overlay of the actual subject on the canvas.
