Surf's Up!!!

Well, we had a pretty good surf this week end along with clear blue skies. Ideal conditions for surfing photos and I just couldn't resist. I just wanted to share a few with you.

Very Nice pictures, how did you get those?? Long lense, in the water, in a boat??

Thanks for the comments. I took those from my private helicopter. It's really hard flying a helicopter and snapping pictures at the same time. Damn near crashed a couple of times.

If you believe that I'll sell you the helicopter for real cheap :wink.

Actually, I was on the Oceanside Pier so I was above and to the side of and sometimes behind the surfers. It's a great vantage point when the surf is up and the tide is right. Used a Nikon 70-300 VR lens on my D80.

Dude! I was on the north jetty at Oside this weekend. Superfun surf. The jettys are great vantage points, imho.
