map_this for virtual gallery

I have added a "popular gallery" and "favorites gallery" to my main menu without any difficulties.

I know that the 'Map This" button only turns on when a number of gallery level properties are turned on (and at least one photo has GPS data). Can these same settings be done for a virtual gallery such as popular?

If I view a photo that I know has GPS data, I see the Map This only when I view the photo "in gallery". It would be nice to have the Map This feature for our on the fly galleries.

I think that it's possible to have maps for keyword galleries...

That being said, I've given up on the maps via smugmug, and now manually generate my own maps with Google MyMaps, and manually insert them in a smugmug gallery. This way gives me a lot more control over the customisation.
