I have created the Slideshow shell for my homepage at 700W 350H. Do I need to upload my photos with the exact dimension as this? My photos will not be all Landscape layout...do i need to create other containers for other layouts?

The slideshow will scale the photo automatically so that the long dimension will fit in the area you give it. With your dimensions, vertical shots will be half the size of horizontal shots.
