Ahhh one of those nights were all the action goes opposite field or just too close for the big prime. Also the opposing QB, pictured below was very good at looking off the defense (me also :rofl) and a rocket arm so I didn't get one reception. Oh well, the few I did catch:

Last play of the night ended up in a sack of the losing QB who just laid there for 10 seconds.

These are awesome. Just curious but what camera and lense are you using? What settings? I dream of these!

Exif is imbedded on these but they were shot with a 1MIIN and 300 2.8L. Some had the 1.4TC on so were @ 420MM. All @F4, 800 ISO with 580 flash set at M@1/4+.07 for most. Thanks for the comments.

The exposures look good, but you seem to have a lot of motion blurr even with the flash. Do you have your flash sync speed set to high speed sync or 1/250. High speed sync will generate motion blur where a standard sync speed should stop the motion better.

Very nice. I would suggest setting rear-curtain sync if available, so that the motion blur is more natural (blurred on the trailing edge of movement, and not the leading edge).

No I do not use HSS. The problem was too much ambient bleeding in. It is a very well lit field and should have lowered my ISO more. Easy after the fact when I'm looking at them on my 24" monitor. :doh

Thanks for the comments.
