I took some photos of my niece and her first year in softball. Any comments are appreciated.

Not too bad.
Two areas for improvement though:
1. You have a lot of deadspace in these - you want to frame the action much tighter so the action fills the entire frame.
2. Looks a big over-saturated.

Still you've caught some decent action and photos are decently sharp.

Plus, make sure that you're framing of the shots is level. In particular, the last three all seem to be running downhill to the right.

(If the field was in fact running downhill to the right, I withdraw my comment. :D)

you might also try turning your camera 90 degrees to the portrait mode. Particularly since you have a longer lens, that'll help you fill up some of the dead space and you won't have to crop so much.
