I've been in NoCal for the last month building a steel bridge. Kinda like a oversized erector set. Hundreds of bolts and a bunch of welding. It was put together by four guys. I'm heading home for a few days and it was a slow day on the job, so I shot a few pictures of the guys.

This is Ricardo. He's a funny guy, but really knows his stuff. I went B&W because the bridge has a distracting orange rust on it (on purpose and had to pay extra). The fill light is from the steel decking we placed today. C&C welcome and appreciated.

:agree - nice shot. Do you have others that provide a bit more context? I think that would be cool as well.

That's a really solid portrait: well composed, fantastic light, and excellent b&w conversion. Great job!

Any chance you would post a color version? I'm curious about what you mean that the orange rust is distracting.

That's one excellent portrait. Nice lighting and B&W work. I like his deportment too.

Thanks for the all the kind comments. I agree on the context, it would have been nice to see more of the bridge (but its huge). I'll play with it next week. They were all thrilled to get their pictures taken and I did a quick print for them yesterday before leaving town.

This is Carlos and Daniel. Father and Son combo, Carlos being the crew foreman.
