This lovely lady has been giving you lots of shutter practice! I think my fave of this set is #5. She has a hint of a warm smile! I like the warm colors and nearly monochromatic look to them. :thumb

Wow, beautiful subject...and great lighting makes for a fun afternoon..

#5 is my favourite. Minor "nit" is the top of the chair showing.

#1 is a close 2nd

#2 my only problem is the chair legs being cropped at the bottom.

#3 I like this one as well, tighter crop maybe even better

#4 I am not a fan of the crop, the negative space doesnt work for me and the tree on the right is a tad distracting.

#6 Would of liked it better if the cloud line wasnt so close to her face. Maybe also a tighter crop ?

Not sure if you had a ladder with you, but you could of also worked a few shots from up above shooting down. This would of allowed you to get her and the tracks but elminate some of the distracting background.

Would of also liked to have seen a shot or 2 of her just walking down the tracks with guitar in hand ?

Take the above with a grain of salt as all in all I think its a great set that you should be happy with. Curious if this was a client or a model you were using for your portfoliio ?

I absolutely love the overall colouring of her clothing, the background, etc. etc. The setting is really nice. I don't even think I have a favourite, I love them all.

LOL ... yes she LOVES to have her picture taken. Works great for me..:D I like #5 also. Getting her to smile for a photo is not easy. She wants them all to be sultry or straight faced "fashion".

We are in agreement about the top of the chair showing. I meant to clone that out and I totally forgot ... lol.

I like negative space in a photo but am in agreement with you on #4. She appears too "small" or something in this one. I think maybe too much over her head. Maybe if I made it more "panoramic" looking?

Yes, the bright cloud line is a bit close to her face.

No ladder available but would have made some good shots as would walking down the tracks with the guitar. Didn't think of that one. We were losing light very quickly ... lol.

She is a friend that LOVES to have her picture taken and I need practice so it works well for us but, alas, she has now moved away. I am sure people are tired of looking at the same person anyway. Sorry folks but I do have some more that I haven't posted yet.

I will try and not be a typical male... But let me say this - it really helps to have friends that like to have their picture taken that look that good WHILE getting their picture taken! She planning on visiting you again soon?! :D

The series are great! I have gotten some great tips from them. I am just starting to expand my horizons as i have mostly done motorsports to date.

Now... All i need is a model!

Thank you. I had an off-camera strobe but can't remember for sure if we used it on these. I believe I did. I know I did on the last one where she is against the sunset. We did many different sets all in one day as she was moving.

Thanks very much for commenting. I used my flash off-camera triggered with Pocket Wizard to light her against the setting sun.
