A couple of shots taken with the Canon 100-400mm L series lens of the same Stilt.

These are about a 30% crop only and shot at 400mm hand held. Shot is RAW and edited in PS

Excellent captures Mark and an outstanidng job on the exposure. I know that stilts are a tough capture. :clap

Thanks Harry, things are quiet around here as well I see, the poor old Mod has to do all the work, the rest just look :-) These are great little birds but very timid, had to hide in the reeds a while till they finally ventured a bit closer for the 400mm to get a reasonable shot.

Like Harry said, well done exposure wise. It's amazing how similar these stilts are to the ones here in the States. You also achieved a nice angle and reflection.

You also achieved a nice angle and reflection. :thumb I also achieved a lot at the wrong angle that have been deleted but that is par for the course. They just wouldn't come anycloser but will keep trying thy may get used to me.
