I can't decide whether I like the reflection of the waterfall. Sometimes I look and think it's cool how it carries the line of the waterfall through the bottom half of the frame, but then I look again and find it distracting. I feel like I want those fall colors to pop more. I think this would also look great in black and white.

Keep in mind that I have no experience with landscapes! I like the shot but feel like it's not quite reaching it's potential. Hopefully others here will be able to put their fingers on what could be better.

I would love to see a large version of this image to make better judgements about it.

very sweet shot!

if your up to suggestions i have just a couple...
things i would do if it were i.

my eye takes a path up the waterfall, but when i get to the top left corner it holds me a little...so i would clone in some trees covering that tiny bit of sky.
the only other thing i would do is add a little luminace to the yellow...

really a nice shot you have here.

Oh, it's a pretty picture, but it doesn't knock my socks off. I'm sure that this was a very lovely place to be at, but photographically, the black dominates. There needs some dramatic lighting injected here as it is very flat. The colorful trees are a nice touch, but it's just a touch--the shot calls out for color and contrast. The reflection of the pool has some nice elements, but it mostly furthers the black-ness of the shot, especially in the high-value lower third of the frame.

Beautiful shot. The soft reflections in the water add a perfect counterpoint to the rocks, with the smooth watefall cutting through. Add some saturation to the color on the trees, and I'd be happy to hang it on my wall.

Thanks all for your comments. I felt that I had processed it a good bit and was worried it was starting to look over done. I will go back and see what I can do.

Don you asked for larger version- http://tgelston.smugmug.com/gallery/6167310_uTUD5//#392232985_QUwGC-A-LB

There are several other versions in there too.

Thank you,
Tobias
