Hi just got this book yesterday and I think it's going to be great.
The trouble I'm having right now is the book is set so that in curves the lightness is on the left.

The book says to just click the gradient to reverse from dark on the left but I can't get it to change. I'm using CS3 on a mac. Anyone know how to switch this.

The interface for curves has changed a bit in CS3. At the bottom of the display, expand the "Curve Display Options" (this section is new).

Select "Pigment/Ink %" instead of "Light (0-255)" and this will reverse the grid.

You should be right as rain now ...
