I have a question about lenses I should get. I have a UV lens, and I'm planning on getting a circular polarizer.

But I'm curious about what other good lenses I should or could get. Nothing that's hundreds of dollars though, I'm poor :)

I have a panasonic Lumix, that already does color settings (cool, warm, B&W, and Sepia), it's 5 MP, 12 Optical zoom, 72 mm.

Can anyone make some suggestions, and explain briefly (if possible) what the lens does? I just am looking for something new and interesting to do.

You're looking for filters for your lens or a new lens?

If you're looking for a filter, probably the one that'll help the most is a
polarizer. A polarizer will help with reflections in water, off glass and
generally help take the glare off things. It will also help with contrast
between sky and clouds.

There are more filter comments here (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=10311).

Oops, yeah filters. Sorry :) Ok, but anything besides a polarizer, cause I'm already planning on getting one of those :)

Also on your short list should probably be one or more Neutral Density (ND) filters. These filters cut the amount of light letting you use a slower shutter speed in bright sunlight. These filters when combined w/ a tripod can let you create a 'streaking' effect w/ running water and the sort.

Filters are a lot of fun to play w/.

Ok, I had considered an ND filter, but wasn't sure if I would hve any use for one yet. But I'll look into that :).

Thanks Jr, mine's the 20, which one is yours? What do you think of it? I seriously love mine.

One of my managers told me about an abandoned train depot, that I REALLY want to get to sometime soon and get pictures of it. Also, I want to try and get to the bech and get pictures of an abandoned ship yard.

As for pics, I have bunches I want to post sometime soon, just need to get them online.
