trouble with arranging

I am trying to arrange photos in a gallery, but the way I arrange them is not "sticking." Why?????

I click on the arrange box, arrange the photos, then leave the gallery, return to the gallery and find them out of order again!

I click on the arrange box, arrange the photos, then leave the gallery, return to the gallery and find them out of order again!

This is one frustrating part of the Smugmug interface. You have to go to customize gallery and set Auto Sort to None first. Then, your custom order will stick.

Why they don't just automatically change it to auto sort none whenever you manually change the positioning, I don't know. There's nothing else you could possibly want it to be. I've submitted this UI fix several times, but it hasn't been implemented.
