So I finally convinced someone to go climbing with me (Read: Take me climbing) and it was an awesome day for it. Headed to a good bouldering area, which also happens to be one of the only areas free of snow, and climbed for a while in the 70 degree temps and bright sunshine.

Katie's hair peers over the lip as she tries to get the footwork figured out.

As the photographer on all my climbing trips, I rarely get good shots of me, but Katie managed to do rather well on both shots she took. Good stuff. That's me! :D

Then while wandering around the woods looking for decent boulders, we got distracted.

And didn't feel at all like getting back up.

Mostly 'cause of the view:

Eventually moseyed on back to the house for some slacking to top it all off.

Cool series CC :thumb :thumb

My lazy days don't usually involve so much effort :rofl

Looks like you had some really nice weather and the view from that overhang is awesome :clap :clap I also liked the view framed in the sunglasses :thumb

Thanks for sharing,
Steve

Thanks for the comments and compliments guys. This was one of those days that's really going to stand out when I look back on this summer. Totally stellar!

NIce shots, looks like lots of friction bouldering with very little positive holds, awesome surroundings to get caught up in too.

Definitely. I think the hardest part though is FINDING the good problems. The woods are so thick you can't see very far, so you can't find the good boulders. Then when you do find a decent one, the obvious lines that are all chalked up are marked like that because they've been WORKED, which means they're HARD. :rofl We're not the best boulderers, but we did alright. I need to get out more though, winter has pretty much destroyed my bouldering strength.

Some nice shots here. My fave is #4, view from a crash pad. The reflected
view is a nice one too.
