I drove over to a local lake today hoping the big birds are back. They were.:clap
I managed to sneak under an old railroad bridge and of course they few
away. But eventually they came back, at least all but the night heron.

Thanks for looking. This is the first real oportunity I've had with the "small camera"
and the tcon17. Realy need to slightly underexpose the white ones and the live
preview helped. I'd just spin the wheel between 1/2000 & 1/1200 till it looked right.

Outstanding shots Al :clap :clap :clap . You are right about the exposures. Unless you underexpose you will blow out those egrets. Excellent job.

what lens? 828 with the TCON17, might have punched 2x digital zoom also,
don't remember. Sony's in camera digital zoom does a great job.

Thanks
