They're here, and setup... but it's was far to cold or windy for anyone to be there. Even the employees! However, the weather tomorrow night should be better for them.

And some of the of the posters are very colorful...

Ok. So, let me see if I understand... You want someone to make you into a cartoon character? :huh

The character part is already a true statement. :lol3

The cartoon part would look something similar to... http://users.aol.com/bikedave1/homer.gif

Carnivals are always colorful action-oriented places. Sort of a living Kodachrome™ experience. Although I've never trusted a "carnie" (after seeing that Simpsons episode where they try to steal the Simpson's house), they are the true characters. Are you going to go back and shoot them doing what they do best when it opens up?

And Sunday the weather goes to he11... so I'll have to see if I can make it. Once again, well see...

So, what is the name of your cartoon "character"? :scratch (Homer is already taken... :wxwax)

All very nice photos! I love the Carnival as well, so much to see and do and the people are so colorful!

I was a little disappointed though. From the title of your series I was kinda expecting to see "Carnies", :scratch not so much carnival booths or posters. I was hoping to see the "people" that work the carnival. I think that would be a fascinating subject! :thumb

Thanks for the comments Fred and Gator. I'll try to get down there some time today, and see what I can get. Hopefully I don't piss anyone off.

- So, can anyone talk to me about the legal ramifications of shooting a carney in a malls parking lot? I mean... I'm not selling any PICs, but I'm wondering what my grounds are if a carney comes up to me and tells me to leave... and specifically if they're mean about it.
