Canine of Bali

Hello,

I came across this awesome fella while biking in Bali, Indonesia.

I am trying to decide which of these two frames is better for my smugmug gallery. Any preference?

Both are nice, but I prefer #2. I like the sharp close up of the dog and the moss on the wall.:thumb

I'd go with #1 just because the background makes more sense. I find that purple roof top in #2 to be very confusing and distracting.

Just my nickel's worth.

I think no. 2 is nicer as it has less negative space.
No. 1 has more background but I don't feel that it adds to the image as would a wide shot for environmental portraits.
That's an interesting looking dog.

Both are fine, crisp shots of an engaging subject. :thumb

I prefer #1, because of the additional context. But then again, I'm generally more a fan of context than tight space.

Either way, I don't think you can go wrong!

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. As you can see, we're all fairly split on the choice, so I think Don has the best answer...post both. :)
