I brought my d40x with 18-200mm and SB800 with the gary fong light sphere. 1st really use of the lens..it worked well but I wish it were a tad sharper. The lightsphere was great. The pro showed uo wiith some $5K cannon with huge lenses..and guess what gary fong light spheres! lol

Comments appreciated. Now that I look at them...I think they are touch too saturated and maybe touch red though that may be my monitor.

EDIT: I took the sat down 5-6 points and cooled it a touch as well to take out some ofd the red. Look much better now i think.

These are very nice. And, yes, they are over-saturated and more than just a little red. A little more PP TLC and you're there! And, what you did right - you got the emotion and the moments. Your "clients" are going to be well pleased!:thumb

yeah definitely a bit on the overly saturated side. if i had to guess, you probably set your camera's picture control mode to vivid; switch back to normal or create a custom profile.

i've done a lot of asian weddings and can't say i've seen a mariachi band at one before. that's a first. :D

I was in manual mode. I only upped the statuation to 56 from 50 in the PP but looks like even tat was too much. I am going ot have to tone that down..the bride was my sistern law and the groom was mexican. That band was REALLY good.

I like the saturation on the cake photo (great composition) and on the one with the girls holding their flowers.

Cute flower girls are always a good portfolio builder!

I toned down the sat and cooled the pics some. I liked the cake shot..I KNOW the pro photographer didn't get that shot!
