Dave - lots of fun these are. A step back in time too. The sepia works really well - light and dof is perfect. #10 is my favorite, but then again. I have a bit of sense of humor and these reflect that to me.

Thanks Angie! I borrowed a 70-200 f/4.0 non IS from a friend who's selling it....he told me to give a good workout...soooooo....what better place? I must admit, the colors, clarity, sharpness are awesome with this glass. I think I'll have to send him money...LOL
Been wanting the 2.8 IS version but actually after using 3 different copies, this lens is sharper. This would be an excellent portrait lens in the arsenal.:thumb
Thanks for the kind words.

Dave,
I have the 2.8 is version of the lens and I still want the 4.0 version. Weight is lighter and for lots of purposes the 4.0 is actually a better choice - like in Studio use. Sam Puc' uses that in her studio and it's one of their standards if you've seen her work. So many lenses to choose from. This is one expensive endeavor!

Yes, that's right...forgot that Sam Puc uses this all the time. She does fabulous work. At the fair, there was a photographer with a booth who specialized in Senior portraits....awesome work. Meant to ask him what lens he used....prolly along these lines....but what was remarkable was his pp.....goodness, outdoor shots had the lighting of a studio!
I'll be keeping this lens for sure.

Thanks David. That lens certainly had something to do with it. Was in AI Servo and kept the shutter speeds UP!

Thanks Vinnnie. It was a fun time....exhausting walking around though...so many people. Apparently, this is one of the country's largest county fairs as they had over 45,000 people the first day attend.
