Just joined Dgrin a few days ago, although I have been a SmugMug user for almost a year. I'm very much the neophyte DSLR user... can't bear to refer to myself as a "photographer". :dunno
Figured I'd join all the fun and post a trio of (fairly tame) wildlife shots, any advice and/or criticism much appreciated.
All shot with Pentax K100D, Tamron 70-300mm lens, almost no cropping.

Hmm, I still need to figure out the picture link function, yet...

I really like that vulture (??) shot, but a closer crop or bigger picture would be nice.

Thank you for the kind words. Yup, its a turkey vulture - there's a committee of a couple dozen who leave nearby. Here's a tighter crop, almost 100%. Not much detail, I'm afraid.I really like that vulture (??) shot, but a closer crop or bigger picture would be nice.

Welcome:clap
Fine job. And don't sweat the neophyte stuff, I've been at this for years and I'll never be as good as some of the guys out here. You did a great job, keep up the good work.
