I've sent to e-mails to the help line with no replys,so maybe I'll get an answer here.:scratch

Can the atuo-play be adjusted to start after the video has fully loaded up, on some of the larger video the auto-play out runs the loading up.:dunno

I am sorry that you have not gotten a response from the help desk. We answer every email that is sent in so it is possible that your email did not reach us or our response was caught by a spam filter.

Check our email link in my signature to make sure you are using the right address.

As for your question, this cannot be changed at this time. The AutoStart is a balancing act. We have people asking for the exact opposite and want it to play immediately in various formats. Depending on your viewers connection speed, waiting for it to fully load would take forever and they would leave.

We do appreciate the request and the feedback. The video programmers do watch this forum and we will consider how this might be possible in the future. Hopefully connection speeds will get faster making the videos load and play faster.

Docwalker, thank you for your reply and maybe in the future this could be a option for each account to be able to adjust the auto-start to suit their own personal taste.:ivar

Hi -

This general issue continues to be the most difficult and least-addressable problem that I have with my customers.

However, in my mind, the problem is NOT the auto-start time.

The problem is that average customers do not understand that any sort of buffering is even necessary. They see the video image pop up in the lightbox, they see that it is not moving, they see the "start" button, and then they immediately press the start button. The video then gets choppy right away. So they reload the screen and try again. They come away thinking the video capabilities are lousy.

And they see no instructions anywhere (we can't customize the video lightbox) to tell them to patiently wait.... and not to press that tempting "start" button (and to press "pause" if it gets choppy).

I see this surely-frustrating progression all the time in my stat counter.

I would like to see:
- The "start" button remain inactive until the auto-start time
- Some ability to post instructions on the video lightbox. Or even for instructions to display in the video window during auto-start time
- Some ability for the video player to recognize that its buffer is almost empty... and to automatically pause (with a friendly message displayed somewhere and "start" button inactivated) until the buffer refills appropriately

Thanks,

Tom K.
