I might have not worded this correctly. On my site http://jpkaplan.smugmug.com/ , what I want to do is for example, under School Events show a different gallery as the one that is on the home page but not change the order as it is shown when clicking on that category?

Ah, I really didn't understand your first question.

The only way that I am aware of to do that is to use the RSS feeds that you should see on the bottom of your home page. Click available feeds, then select one of the recent galleries feeds.

I wasn't happy with that, so I created my own html-only gallery to link to my galleries, showing the newest first. I provide a link to my "recent galleries" gallery from the Kaleidoscope page on my site. Here's a direct link to my recent galleries - http://www.denisegoldberg.com/gallery/3137264_NGWFU.
