Thanks Brian. It is far from the spectacular photos you have posted!! I am using a Sony A700 and Sony 100mm f2.8 macro. How do you get so close as to see the hairs on the face. I remember some pics you posted several months ago that were phenomenal. I saved them, but honestly have no idea how you did it!

Hi Ron, I'm not sure if these will fit your lens, but it might pay you to do a search and see what you can get hold of.

These are KENKO AUTO Ext. Tubes, they will allow you to get a lot closer than you are getting already.

Your shot is pretty darn close I'd say :D
Have you looked at Brians Tutorial on Stacking images?
That can help pull in detail as well.
