Is that really a dragonfly's wing? that's crazy, it looks like stained glass! I think it's solid conceptually, and I love the irridenscence and the pattern. Can you re-shoot it so it's not so pixelated? I know that's tough, unless you've got a macro lens?

Hey Ian, Thanks for looking. We found this little guy in our pool. I cropped part of his wing from this shot

Then I had this one

Then I cropped another from one other. Is this better?

Wow, those are great images, and the reshoot of the wing puts it in the running! Great stuff, thanks for sharing Joe.

Yes, I like the second one. I liked the first one til I realized that there might be a technical problem.

The frame bothers me a bit. In the first one, it bothered me a lot, in the second one it just bothers me a bit, steals the thunder of the shot? Or boxes it in?
And I love frames.........??? Anyone else.

Love that idea. And by the by, I am working myself to death here. And there, the last two days I lost my ability to move with yesterday being the worst.
So your thread did have an effect on me.

Uh, could you please critique my last thread, saying more...........challenge..

yup yup. that second image is great. Still kinda small, but should be ok for the challenge, at least as far as crops go. I fear I may soon sound like a broken record, but can you make your print smaller? Its big and distracting. Have confidenc in your shot, its a good one and doesn't need covering up with a big frame and print :thumb

Wow, really nice! It looks a bit soft to me when blown up, maybe a bit of PS sharpening? :scratch Hard to argue with nature, though!
