There was a very big storm in Phoenix and the surrounding areas last night.

Micro Bursts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microburst) have become pretty common in the Phoenix area during strong thunderstorms. I am pretty sure that is what made this possible.

The first is a real good shot. The garage door closed would have benn better. Love the perspective of #5! Nice!:nod

Really like the composition, colors, and feel of #3 despite the noise. That was quite a storm you had.

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks-

The noise ticks me off. That is definitly the weak part of the Olympus. Low light long exposure causes the sensor to heat up- I hate the noise!! :bash

I think it is probably the CB handle or something. It is a refrigerated truck so it is not carrying fireworks (it would need a placcard too). I imagine it was empty and that is partly why the wind was able to tip it over.

That and the 100 mph winds :jawdrop News Article (http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2008/08/29/20080829storms0829-ON.html)

" I hate the noise!! :bash "

I know it's frustrating but how about just using a little noise reduction?

CS3: hope it's ok. Good luck on the storm this evening.

As appealing as that sounds :giggle

Neat round of images. Pretty cool. :thumb #2 stands out as do several
others that you sighted in. Neat Image has a trial version to play with.
Worth checking for the look see. Watch for softening for what it does
in night shots +++.
