I took these recently in the backyard. This is my first post in this section. I hope it passes muster!! All three were taken with Nikon D80 and Nikkor 55-200 f4-5.6 VR, no flash.

very nice Bill. good backgrounds & light.
have you sharpend these ? , the dragons look a little "soft"

Yes, I use Nikon's NX2. I'm really a bit of a noob at this, so I'm really just shooting in the dark :scratch (so to speak!!)...what does the term "soft" mean? I lowered the "brightness" level and raised the "contrast" and "saturation"....very little in all cases

the dragons do not look as sharp as they could. are you shooting RAW or JPEG?
after you have finished editing & re sizing for web,if you do. re sharpen the image in photoshop-unsharp mask.
i usually sharpen in raw conversion then again in ps after all editing is finished.

Hi Bill, what a fine specimen you found too :clap
It's holding it's wings so nice too .... little poser hu :D
They seem so big for such skinny little legs to hold up.
