Interesting structure and textures. Was someone living there or
was it used for storage / something else?

Thnx everyone. I believe this was at one time a cold storage room for a homestead in the Mojave Desert. Prior to that, for what looks like it was a long, long time, possibly a seasonal stopover/shelter for maybe Cahuilla, Serrano or Chemehuevi Indians on a subsistance route. Could even have been used back as far as 8,000 years.
