Hi All,
I had problems this morning trying to upload a larger sized photo. I think I have corrected that problem and hopefully you can now see it. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Hi,
It appears that there were technical problems when you uploaded this shot. I'm having a hard time seeing much of anything that is in focus or intentionally out of focus (for abstract or bokeh renditions). And I cannot get past that, which is probably more my problem than anything else :scratch
Perhaps you can help me out by sharing your objectives in taking the shot?
Thanks

M

I was going for a process I read about called Orton Imagery. It blurs some of the image mostly the background and render the image painterly, ethereal, and romantic. Armed with this new technique, I gave it a try.:D

It could just be me, but I don't see much of interest, here. There's no clear subject, nothing for the eye to settle on, no lines to follow around the image... I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at. At the same time, there's enough variation to prevent it from becoming an overall, pattern-type abstract. I can't even tell which areas are supposed to still be sharp, maybe because the tendrils of moss are so delicate that it's hard to tell?

But, it is sort of painterly, and I'm not really up to speed on this Orton technique, so maybe you nailed it, from that point of view.
