Custom Hostname not working

I use Dreamhost as my DNS hosting service. Yesterday I created a new CNAME record for photos.petergarr.com. I then set my SmugMug Custom Hostname to photos.petergarr.com. It's now been about 24 hours and photos.petergarr.com is still not resolving to petergarrphotography.smugmug.com. I thought 24 hours would be long enough for DNS to propogate. I just initiated a DNS refresh through Dreamhost.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

When I browse to http://photos.petergarr.com I receive errors either similar to or identical to:

Invalid URL
The requested URL "/", is invalid.
