Great Shots! 3 & 8 really do it for me! i have yet to be conformtable enough with the local race guys to try and get a shot like this!!LOL!! The sky in #8 really adds to it. What lens are you using for these?

Thanks, yes I absolutely love the effect of the setting sun on the kids helmet and bike on #8. That pic kinda goes against the rules of having the sun behind me, but I think it worked well in this instance. I was using my Nikkor 35-70 F/2.8 for that shot.

Thanks brother, I really try to keep my post processing to a minimum. I see too many pics of races nowadays where everyone jacks the saturation up to 50 or so and it just looks fake to me. All I do it bump saturation to in between 5-10, adjust the highlights and shadows just a tad and a little unsharp mask. I appreciate the compliment

Graet action shots, cropped tightly, sharp, a nice plain/boring background!
But, I would try slightly slower shutter speed to let the wheel spokes become blurry. We all know these guys are moving, but that bit of blur adds relaity to the image.
