removing phantom sub-categories?

I deleted a primary category and it dumped my 2 subcategories and their photos into the "other" category. Now I cannot delete these 2 sub-categories.

The 2 sub-categories of "other" (and all associated photos I want to delete are:
Posters
Football


pls tell me how I can do this.

www.rockcanyonphotos/smugmug.com (http://www.rockcanyonphotos/smugmug.com)Sorry for the troubles. I was able to move the galleries from the 'phantom' subcategory and move them to the 'Other' category. You can delete or move them as needed.
