Slideshow IQ

I'm not sure if there's a way to customize the quality of the images that the slide show uses or if by default its set to lets say 80% but the images that are output by the slideshow show artifacts similar to jpeg compression.

I've tried everything from uploading same sized images to play in the slideshow to decreasing jpeg quality from 100% to 80 and 60 etc.

Is there any way to override the slideshow quality to something more reasonable?

Nevermind I got it apparently if you size the slideshow to lets say 600x400 for example for landscape orientated photos and you upload images that are exactly 600x400 in dimensions the slideshow will resize it slightly causing the images to artifact.
