View Full Version : A Prince in disguise!
Yesterday I decided to try out the EF 75-300mm I just got for my Digital Rebel. Of course, as soon as I stepped outside the clouds rolled in and the lighting became dicey as the sun peeked in and out. There was one fleeting moment though when a small shaft of light made it through the clouds and the trees and hit this little guy in the head. I kinda like it and just thought I'd share.

A very nice image that once again demonstrates the supreme importance of good lighting. Nice colors, sharp, with the shaft of light that you mentioned. Very nice.:):
Thanks for all the kind words! I'm strictly an amateur but I'm hoping to learn a lot from you guys. I had one other shot that I was pleased with ... I took it with the idea (taken from this forum) that the focus should be on the eyes ...

I love that frog!!! Great lighting. Best lighting is that storm stuff, in and out.
I am going to remember that about the dog's eyes one of these days, or hire you to do it for me. Great photo of the dog.
