SmugMug video is pretty good, but the video experience I've had with NBCOlympics.com (http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/index.html) over the past few days has been flawless. Here's what I'd love to see come over to SmugMug...

Menu behavior... The lower menu on the Olympic site disappears when the cursor is over the main part of the video window or outside the video window, but NOT when the cursor is over the menu. This is much more intuitive than the current SmugMug implementation. If I have my cursor over the menu, it's because I'm watching something there. Having to jiggle the mouse every time the menu starts disappearing is pretty annoying.
Captioning... The NBC Olympic videos have "caption" data show in an upper bar when the cursor is moving over the video window. This is pretty nice.
The watching experience... NBC's video is SMOOTH. As in no herks, jerks, or stops. I can't say the same for SmugMug. I'm on a 10 Mbit line, but SmugMug might be a little agressive with its buffering, particularly on larger video sizes. NBC is using Sliverlight vs SmugMug's Flash, but I don't think this should be an issue, here. I'm no expert on the ins and outs of web video, but the overall impression on NBC's site was that it "just worked."Hope this came off as constructive. I'm a huge fan of SmugMug's new video support, and just want to see it's quality continue to improve. :D

Thanks for the feedback. We love criticism and honest feedback.

We are working to improved things all the time.

The smoothness of the video playback is often limited by the hardware and internet connection. I personally love the quality and smoothness of SmugMug. The rarelly see problems, but when I use my parents older computer it can stink.

You may have 10MB but be sure to check the connection periodically. My superfast cable connection will occasionlly develop hickups and slowdowns due to Comcasts problems.
