These are a few shots from the past season. Full gallery is here (http://pics.wildpuck.com/). Any suggestions on how to improve the photos would be greatly appreciated! Fortunately, we're moving to a better rink with better lighting (and no horrific green floor).
This turned out alright, especially being behind the glass.

I love this one...especially the look on his face. He was playing injured this game.

Despite being on the other team, thought this captured his shot pretty well.

Thanks for sharing! Hockey is extremely difficult to shoot and you did a decent job.
In general, you need to use a custom white balance and the SpectraSnap (http://phoxle.homestead.com/SpectraSnapWBFilters.html) is my current recommendation (http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=88875). You also need to adjust your levels as well.

WB & Curves adjustments (still a bit too cool for me, but you get the idea)

I would increase the ISO to achieve higher shutter speeds to freeze the action a bit better and pay attention to the horizon.
And these are some of my other general thoughts (http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=75705) on shooting hockey (well, ice hockey).
Keep posting! And congrats on getting better lighting in the new rink!

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep it in mind next time around!
I normally do a custom white balance...but that link will help!

Canon Rebel XTI with f1.8 85mm lens. I have a white balance card (not sure who makes it).
