Does anyone use a mobile broadband solution for their laptop? I guess the big three are Sprint, at&t and Verizon. I took a look at USB options from Sprint and at&t and the Sprint Compass 597 USB looks to be very good. I would be using the service on a mac and again Sprint seems to have the mac end working well.

I am looking for opinions on the hardware and actual use of the service from speed to coverage.

Thanks.

We use Verizon EVDO cards here at SmugMug.... been pretty reliable for us thus far.

Does the Verizon card work on slower networks, when you are outside the city, near a National Park, etc?

Does the Verizon card work on slower networks, when you are outside the city, near a National Park, etc? In Glacier Verizon was the only service I know of that actually had a data connection. I wouldn't have called it fast but in that environment it was probably as fast as it comes.
