View Full Version : what is the best format for video?

I can put my slideshow in many different formats and I am looking to put it in a format ? I would like a format that will play on most computers..Is uploading through smugmug the best way to go or to put the slideshow on a different server and the do hyperlink or to embed it into the smug gallery thanks hope to hear....slowly understanding the video thing....janis:dunno

What formats do you have available? Some are standalone files and some require multiple files to work correctly. Single files in SmugMug supported formats will work here. But if you need to do the multiple file route you will need to upload it on another server. Then you can embed the slideshow.

I typically export to h.264 Mpeg and upload to SmugMug. There may be other options for you.

I use proshow producer...I dont think that we have the h.264...what I do are photo with video clips...where on your site can I see the slide show that you have either embed or uploaded to smug..thanks janis

dear doc walker, I sent a help message with the information need for them or you to change my go daddy...maybe that is the reason why I have had a hard time putting an embed video slideshow into the description janis

Got the email. Your domain has need updated.

I don't think it necessarily had anything to with your embeds. Please send me a link to one of yours and I will check it. You may be missing HTML tags or something to make it work.
