A few shots I got of a nankeen kestrel hovering above something it had spotted in the scrub.

I liked this set very much Mike. Looks like a difficult bird to capture against a bright sky ... the feathers being so lightly colored, etc.

Very nice images and I have to say that I have never seen this type of Kestrel before. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Bob! Well it wasn't too bad because I had blue sky for background. It would have been a bugger if it was overcast.

Cheers Harry! It didn't seem too bad at the time. I saw it coming though so had plenty of time to dial in a good exposure.
