Hi All,

My name's Kirk and I'm 22 years old from Bristol, England. I'm a new member of DGrin and new convert from Zenfolio. I thought I'd start my time here by posting a picture of mine I took some time ago (2006 if I'm honest!). I'd love to hear your thoughts and I hope you enjoy it (here's hoping I post it right!).

It's a really beautiful, natural place, so if you'd like to see any of the other photos I took that day, you can take a look here (http://kirkwatts.smugmug.com/gallery/5537977_e5WCZ/1/339166291_DasM6).

I look forward to hearing your comments!

Hi Kirk nice to see you made it over to Dgrin! :wave

I'd love to walk down that path. Even though it's midday and therefore looks a little warm to me, I get a sense of peace. I love the tiny couple walking down it, as it gives a great sense of scale.

Thanks for sharing and I hope to see more from you soon!

Hi All,

Thank you for your kind comments. It's interesting that you all mentioned the winding road and the people walking down it.

When I was looking at this image for the first time, I toyed with removing the people from the winding path; when I did, it took away some of that desire you get to walk down that path as you look at this photo, so I left them in :).

It really is a beautiful, mostly untouched place and I would love to go again soon. It's especially serene on a sunny day, but the roads are so rocky on the way there that sometimes you feel like the underbelly of your car is going to scrape on the rocks :nah ! I guess I need a 4x4.

4x4 is nice to have from time to time. :D

Definitely keep the people in. They add so much to an image such as
this really nice one.
