Nice set Gale. I guess that I am the unusual one, but I liked #1 the best. It is an interesting angle and capture, not the usual GBH shot. :thumb

As close as they were the set up for them was tough.
They are also sooo fast.

I got alot of lucky interesting flight shots of them on that day. I was thrilled actually. I have shot GBH's for so long.
Some really tough lighting.
Not processed a bunch yet. Prop won't for awhile.

Goodness! I don't think I have ever seen a portrait of a purple martin with that much detail! :wow!

That's a great shot of the purple martin. I have found they are difficult birds to get detail because of their dark colors as well as luminosity of their feathers.

Yes they are difficuly. I think overcast a bit would be a bit easier. This was extremely bright conditions.
