"After looking at your DNS information, your domain is hosted with SmugMug. Any changes to your site needs to be changed with them.

Unfortunately company policy prevents Go Daddy customer service representatives from directly providing login information for a Go Daddy customer account"

Wowhot I am sorry that you are having trouble with this. Can you call them one more time and tell them that we are resellers for GoDaddy. They actually host the domain. There should be a document in their support knowledge base that details all of this.

Did you buy the domain through smugmugdomains.com? If so there is a different support number to use. That might be part of the confusion.

SmugMug domains support through GoDaddy is (480) 624-2500 (https://www.securepaynet.net/gdshop/support.asp?prog_id=427342&ci=1828&)

GoDaddy is (480) 505-8877

this is one of the problems
I did contact a adviser before purchessing my smugmug pro account
and asked them that as im located in places where i have no phone comunitaion,
i can only access by email would this be a problem it was aggreed that this would not be a problem at all.
so i continued to go ahead with the purchess... i later was advised bye smugmug that godaddy was a great company to go through to purchess a domain name ..

Im not able to call a help line i have to have a email contact.. but as i have discouvered from smugmugs first suggestion to me to email them that godaddy dont reply to me and now have passed me off onto you.

im starting to becoume worried

We will help get you straightened out. No worries. Did you buy from smugmugdomains.com or goadaddy.com? That is important for us to know.

I can see what we can do from there.

Go Here: https://www.securepaynet.net/gdshop/support_submit_question.asp?app_hdr=&prog_id=427342&ci=2200

Select 'Login Help - Password' reset in the product list.

Be sure to tell them that you bought through smugmugdomains.com and that we are resellers for them. They should be able to help you.

If you entered your email address correctly when you signed up, you should be able to reset the password yourself. Did you try the reset password link in the support panel?

It should email you a new password. There is also a link for retrieve customer number and password hints.

Either of those should help.

Yes the very first time after paying for the domain name I was not able to get into my account,
so i went through the procedure of getting a rest to my password by email that worked fine and i was happy ,
but straight after i was locked out again and this time round it does not recognize my id number of password ,, not it will not even let me in to retrieve anything..

Iam worried that some body has got into my account and changed my settings and not might have my card details.. this is concerning me.

I really need help now ..
Godaddy still has not replied to me and if its anything like there last opportunity to contact me in a reasonable amount of time i don’t feel they will rectify this any time soon.

I am going to talk to our direct contacts at GoDaddy and see if we can get a faster resolution for you.

I just checked your domain and it is pointed at your SmugMug site. That is good, but that might be the reason the GoDaddy support was confused about where your domain was hosted.

My Contact is on the West Coast so they are not up yet. I will give them your email address and have them contact you as soon as possible. Please hang in there, we will get this straightened out. :thumb

So that we do not waste any time. I have sent you a test email using the email address on your SmugMug account. I wanted to make sure we have valid address to give GoDaddy.

Ed,

I am sorry that you are having trouble again. I thought GoDaddy had gotten your account all taken care of. I saw the email about your address having an extra space. Did that get changed? Maybe you should try both of those versions of the address to see if one of them will work.

I have asked my contact at GoDaddy to take a look at this thread and see if they can help again. I am not sure why, or what is happening but we want you to be able to login to your GoDaddy account.
