I like it! what kind of house is that?

Maby the dog is a bit small porportional to the rest of the ambient arround it. You used fill flash for this one or? what´s the technique?

Love it, very nice composition.

My only suggestion is to center the doorway, perhaps by cropping out the distracting stairs on the right, maybe cloning out whatever that is on the floor, and the electric wire by the door.

The building is an old derelict pack house, used primarily in it's day, to store sheets of tobacco before being carried to market.

Well, he's a 25lb Parsons Jack Russell, which is kinda big for the breed.

I had a SB-600 camera right and bounced it off the low ceiling.

Love it, very nice composition.

I left the conditions as is, but will certainly give thought to cloning out the strap on the floor.

I am confused a little. First you comment on a very nice composition and then suggest to center the door. :scratch I intentionally did not center the door and consciously framed the distracting stairs. My thoughts were that they would create an interesting exiting line and give the viewer something to ponder, such as, "What evil lives up there?", or something like that. :D Looking at it again, perhaps the stairs does create some heaviness on the right side of the photo.

BTW, I live just outside of Raleigh. Small world.

I like the colors and what you are trying to do here, but I think a tighter crop might be more appealing - the dog does get a bit lost in the frame. And it really bothers me that nothing looks level in the shot - if it were me, I would level the horizon. I understand what you are doing with the dog watching the sunset, I can't help thinking "He took a shot of his dog's butt." :dunno
