If you gusy get sick of these let me know. I just want to get better and I value the opinions on this board. Only one shot right now as I have to get to the lab to develop some film.

I think I like the crop more though.I like original more... The space and the trees in the background are very important, they create the mood...
The crop is just "A girl by the tree". The original is "Wating for a White Knight" or something..

i like the original better too. in the crop you can't tell what she's looking at.

I like you guys. I liked the original more but figured everyone would complain about my composition having her so extremely to the right. Original it is then.

She wasn't actually looking at the tree or anything though. She wasn't even looking up she was looking straight ahead but I threw the camera to and angle to see what would come of it.

The branches from the trees tell a story... gives it a "feel" that the cropped one doesn't.

yeah, I'm with everybody else - the wider shot is better.
