Flowers of Costa Rica

These photos were taken during a week-long trip to Costa Rica I took in March. I'd had my camera (Canon Rebel XTi) for about a week, I was still trying to learn about all the bells and whistles. C&C welcome and appreciated. :D

#4 is a plant that I'd never seen before and I have no idea what it is. :scratch It was kinda goofy-lookin' (takes one to know one :D ) so I took the shot. Any help in identifying it anyone could provide would be appreciated.

Great photos! I have never seen a white hibiscus rosasinensis (shoeflower) before.

The #4 plant is called stone-flower in our local language.

Glad you liked them. I hadn't seen one before either, so I had to prove to people that they do exist.

And an interesting name. I suppose I can see why it's called that.
